The first coffee in the world produced with Yara Climate Choice™ fertilizers by passionate, empowered women pioneers in the decarbonization of Colombian coffee farming
From Huila, Colombia, 100 women coffee growers led a unique project that positions the country as a pioneer in the sustainable coffee production grown for the first time in the world with Yara Climate Choice™ fertilizers produced with renewable energy, reaffirming Yara’s commitment to innovation and agricultural empowerment.
*Yara Climate ChoiceTM renewable-based lower carbon fertilizers are nitrate-based fertilizers produced using N2O catalytic abatement and renewable ammonia, with a reduced carbon footprint by up to 95% compared to the same Yara fertilizer produced from natural gas (the actual percentage depending on the product’s nitrogen content).
